I'm Back

I started Rocky Mountain Girl Creations in the summer of 2011 while I was home from college dealing resolving some medical issues.  After starting my store I had a miraculous recovery and was able to return to school that fall.   As my focus turned to my classes I put my shop on hold for a few years.  I graduated with a degree in Food Science in December 2014.  Over the past year as I have looked for work in my field I have resurrected my shop to earn some money.  However, I have found that the online market is swamped with handcrafted products.  So I have moved to a more profitable word of mouth seamstress business.  I have loved being able to work in a creative environment making beautiful things.  By working locally I have been able to add tailoring projects that help me bring in more revenue.  Be assured Rocky Mountain Girl Creations is alive and well.  In the spirit of online marketing  I am making an effort to bring my business back on the web.   So without further ado here is a small sample of some of the products I have made since graduation.  (I'm not including pictures of things I've tailored i.e. hemming, taking things in/out)

Stores today seem to not carry any modest dresses, but I've been able to make a few.

Hey guys I'm back at college so sorry I haven't posted in a while.  Not that I was posting much before, because I was taking summer classes, but still I'm sorry.  I have some lovely stats home work to go do so this will be brief.

mini stripes baby sets

I'm calling these mini stripes baby sets for now, but if you want to suggest another name I'll take it into consideration.  The booties are made to standard newborn size and are garter stitch so they are able to stretch, and would fit a baby for awhile.  The hats are double rib which is also very stretchy, and can be rolled down and so also will fit for some time.   They're made of red heart yarn which is  100% acrylic, and machine washable.  I have new patterns in the works so until next time,

Introduction

I'm a college student who is majoring in food science and minoring in chemistry.  I have been knitting for 6 years, and i have recently decided to use that skill to open an Etsy store (see the link to the left).  I have been working on baby patterns for awhile for my cousins and friends, so that will be the majority of what I'll sell.  Although I have plans to expand into child and adult stuff later, right now I'm taking a summer chemistry course and it is very time consuming so that will probably have to wait.  I'm very excited to get this started.
